Our History

Leadership Grant County, which originally started as a program of the Chamber of Commerce, has been training leaders in our community since 1981.

Tim Harris, who has facilitated the program for over 10 years, is once again facilitating this year's class. Looking forward to serving again in this capacity, Harris notes, "Historically employers have seen the benefits to both their company and our community of having their employees participate."

Join this Year’s Class of Leaders

Applications for this year's Leadership Grant County class are now being accepted. Space is limited and filling up fast so interested participants are encouraged to get their applications in as soon as possible.

This year's class is scheduled to begin in September of 2009. The class will meet one day per month for 8 months. In addition to great networking opportunities and basic leadership skills, participants will learn more about Grant County and all the great things our community has to offer.

Graduation requirements for the program include attending 6 of 8 classes, serving on one community board of directors and assisting in the planning of one class. The cost of this year's class is $350.00.
